WINDHOEK, 28 OCT (NAMPA) – Middleweight boxer Lucas ‘The Demolisher’ Ndafoluma is ready to take on Pohamba ‘The President’ Mandume on Saturday in a Kinda Promotions-hosted boxing extravaganza here.
The bout will be for the newly-introduced national junior-middleweight title, which is currently vacant.
Mandume previously held the Namibian welterweight title, but lost it to Anthony Jarman in March this year.
Speaking at a media briefing here on Tuesday, Ndafoluma said he is ready to face Mandume because this fight will be used as a platform to show what he is made of.
“I want to show people that I have the power, skills and talent to fight any boxer in the world.
Come Saturday, I will end the President (Mandume’s) term,” he boasted before their 10-round bout.
In other fights, Verde Ndayambekwa will go up against Jason Mashala for the lightweight six-rounder, while George Lita Liyambo will fight Michael Kambungu in the featherweight category.
Candy Imalwa will fight Mathew Kaandala in a super- featherweight six-round bout.
Tickets are on sale for N.dollars 50 for general seats and N.dollars 100 for Very Important Person (VIP) tickets, while ringside guests’ tickets are on sale for N.dollars 200.
The fights will start at 18h00 at the Gateway Centre in the Khomasdal residential area.
