OVER 100 FOREIGN EXHIBITORS TAKE PART IN MYANMAR'S INDUSTRIAL FAIR

YANGON, July 12 (Bernama) -- A total of 120 exhibitors from seven countries
and regions showcased a variety of state-of-the-art industrial machinery at an
industrial fair that kicked off here Friday, Xinhua news agency reported.
The four-day fair, jointly organised by the Taipei World Trade Centre and
Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co.,Ltd, will run until next Monday.
The fair has attracted exhibitors from China, China's Hong Kong, Taiwan,
Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam.
The exhibition features products from various categories including
electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, motors and pumps, machinery and
auto and motorcycle parts.
U Zaw Min Win, chairman of Myanmar Industrial Association, said the expo will
be a great asset in fulfilling the country's current high demand of industrial
related equipment and parts.
"Since Myanmar's economy has opened up, new foreign investments have been
pouring into our economy and there is a sudden increase in demand of industrial
machinery and related equipment and parts," he said.
