BANGKOK, July 12 (Bernama) - The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host the Asean Ambassadors and Consul Generals Meeting in Bangkok from July 14 to 15, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul said Thursday the ministry will also host another meeting of the Asean ambassadors and consul generals, as well as Thai provincial governors in the same period.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will inaugurate the meetings and present the Thai government's policies and exchange ideas with the region's top envoys and provincial Thai governors.

Surapong said the forthcoming meetings are to review and present Thailand's pro-active policies on neighbouring countries and to exchange views on the country's preparedness for the Asean Community (AC) set to be formed by 2015.
