National Assembly in recess

WINDHOEK, 09 OCT (NAMPA) – The National Assembly went into recces on Wednesday until next year to allow Namibian lawmakers to participate in the political campaigns of their parties.
The parliamentarians will return to their seats in the House on 10 February 2015.
Before they went into recess, the legislators passed eight bills.
These are the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism Bill; National Health Bill; Pension Funds’ Amendment Bill; Namibia Students’ Financial Assistance Fund Amendment Bill; Public and Environmental Health Bill; Electoral Bill; Namibian Constitution Third Amendment Bill; and Child Care and Protection Bill.
Namibians are going to polls on 28 November this year to vote for their national leaders.
