FOUR ARRESTED FOR CAR THEFT

PETALING JAYA, July 11 (Bernama) -- The police have arrested four men aged between 20 and 40 believed to be involved in stealing 12 cars worth about RM240,000 in the Klang Valley.

Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Supt Fadil Marsus said the suspects, who were rounded up on June 26 and yesterday, led police to the recovery of the cars.

He said the cars recovered were three Perodua Kancil, Proton Wira (three), Proton Satria (three), and Nissan Almera, Nissan Cefiro, Proton Perdana (one each).

The suspects, who were believed to be involved in car theft since early this year, were tested positive for drugs, he told reporters here today.

He said two of them had been released after their remand order expired while two more were remanded until Sunday.
