Helao Nafidi Expo receives huge financial support

ONGWEDIVA, 08 OCT (NAMPA) – Financial pledges worth more than N.dollars 1 million have been received for the hosting of the Helao Nafidi Town Council’s business expo, which takes place from 27 October to 02 November.
The chairperson of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Northern Branch, Tomas Iindji said in a media statement issued on Tuesday this amount was pledged during the council’s fundraising gala dinner held at the town last week.
“We are proud to announce that the dinner was a major success, with the Helao Nafidi Town Council receiving financial pledges totalling N.dollars 1 020 650 from 73 willing donors,” Iindji stated.
Big contributions were received from Ezzy Import and Export (N.dollars 211 000); International Commercial (N.dollars 200 000); Brenner Fruits (N.dollars 110 000) and Fysal Fresh Produce (N.dollars 100 000).
Iindji said the success recorded during the dinner will go a long way in helping the ninth Helao Nafidi Business Expo to be a success.
“We greatly appreciate the support of our local leaders and businesses as they made a serious effort to promote this event and spark entrepreneurs to success,” he said.
Iindji is also the goodwill ambassador for the Helao Nafidi Business Expo.
Speaking to Nampa on Wednesday, a member of the Helao Nafidi Town Council, Tarah Shinavene pointed out that it is the first time the council collects such a huge amount of money at its expo fundraising event.
The expo is aimed at promoting local economic development through entrepreneurship, marketing and networking and further allows the local businesses/entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.
