KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 (Bernama) -- Over the past three months, a gang of wily criminals used every trick in the book to rob unsuspecting victims in Kajang.
Targeting medical clinics, restaurants and vehicles, the gang which also comprised a 17-year-old school dropout and a woman, committed a total of 10 armed robberies.
One of their ruses even involved posing as a couple injured in a road accident and hobbling into a polyclinic in Taman Sri Reko in Kajang on June 25 before committing a robbery.
A similar robbery was also committed at a polyclinic in Taman Permata, Cheras on July 4.
Yesterday morning, their 'acting chops' were given the chop when the police detained four members of the gang in a raid at a flat in Bandar Mahkota, Cheras.
Selangor police acting chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan said the suspects, aged between 17 and 30, included a woman.
