KOTA KINABALU, July 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's rising teen star Aretha Pan wants to swing into the top-10 of this year's Ladies Asian Golf Tour.
The 2012 Malaysia Games (Sukma) champion, who recently turned professional, showed her mettle in golf after finishing 17th out of a field of 100 in her first tournment as a professionl in the Ladies Asian Golf Tour in Taiwan recently.
â€œMy target is to give a strong challenge for the Ladies Asian Golf Tour title, and I hope to crack the top-10 ranking before the end of the year," said the 19-year-old Sabah lass here today.
Aretha, ranked the number one female golfer in the county, is also hopeful of doing well in the coming tournments in Taiwan next week, and in Japan next month.
Meanwhile, Sutera Harbour Marina Golf and Country Club general manager Howie Roberts announced that the teenager had joined Sutera Harbour Resort and Golf Academy Borneo as a touring professional.
