Three men die after digging well in Tsandi

WINDHOEK, 28 SEP (NAMPA) – Two men collapsed and died inside a well they were removing mud from on Thursday at the Onangwe cattle post in the Tsandi Constituency.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Public Relations Division Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi said in a media statement issued here on Sunday a third man was rescued, but died the following day.
The cause of death is unknown, and their remains were transported to Okahao Police Mortuary for post mortems.
The deceased were identified as Amunyela Augustus Heita, 31; Josef Gerson, 22; and Martin Endjala, 43.
Their next of kin are informed and police investigation continues.
Kanguatjivi further said a one-year-old baby was reported dead on Sunday along Hans Uirab Street in Katutura.
The mother claimed that the baby was with the father the whole day.
Police will conduct a post mortem to determine the cause of death.
In a separate incident, Jarambuka Musaso, 20, was found hanging dead from a tree some 500 metre from his homestead at the Ondera village on Friday between 24h00 and 05h00.
The police suspect Musaso committed suicide after being confronted by his uncle for coming home late.
No foul play is suspected, and his next of kin are informed.
