Young man allegedly kills 20-year-old in Onayena

ONGWEDIVA, 22 SEP (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police in the Oshikoto Region have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a murder committed at Onakiidhi village on Saturday.
The village falls under the Onayena policing district.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Crime Coordinator in the region, Deputy Commissioner Naomi Katjiua told Nampa on Sunday the incident occurred at the cuca shops in the Omatalala residential area at around 21h00.
The police have identified the deceased as the 20-year-old Vaino Namene.
It is alleged that the suspect stabbed Namene once on the left side of his chest following a quarrel between the two.
He died on the spot.
Namene’s next of kin have been informed.
The name of the suspect was available, but could not be released as he was still to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court on Monday.
