The battle continues ………….

Presently, there are some very close placings in the current Namibia Ice and Inline Hockey Association (NIIHA) league standings. The clubs have prepared for this weekend, which is the fourth tournament of the year, to continue the “battle” to play in good sportsmanship against each other in the second to last league tournament of the year. The division games that are not to be missed, are the tight placings in the 10 and under, whereby Cazadores and Scorpions are battling it out for second place and the tie between Badgers and Scorpions in the ladies division will offer spectators some exciting games. This year’s international experience in the upper age divisions will definitely give teams the opportunity to make changes to their standings.

The annual league tournament in the North is seen as a highlight, meeting to play on the Scorpions new size hockey rink and enjoying the reknown “farmers” catering are two of many reasons for the excitement .

Next week NIIHA will announce of the newly selected junior teams to represent Namibia at International level in 2015 after trials was hosted at the Swakopmund Indoor Sports Centre in Swakopmund this past weekend.
