WINDHOEK, 18 SEP (NAMPA) - The Pro Tennis Academy (PTA) Tennis Series is set to resume on 26 September this year.
PTA is a Namibian tennis academy which trains tennis lovers on how to play the game.
Players compete amongst each other, or against players of other academies from across Namibia for points throughout the season.
At the end of the season, the best-ranked players in the various categories win awards.
A media statement availed to Nampa by the PTA on Wednesday said the academy went on a break after playing their last tournament at the Windhoek High School tennis courts in July this year.
The resumption of the league will mark the sixth event of the year.
Participants are eager to get back into action, and fight for points for their respective rankings after a long break.
As usual, the organisers will host a tournament on the tennis fields of the Windhoek High School in the capital, with players having the chance to play in the mini, midi, beginner, intermediate and advanced categories.
All interested players can enter until next Wednesday.
The statement added that with seasoned PTA veterans like Hendrina Apollus, Delicia Dirkse, Faith Kahuure and Randel Kavandje in the mix, spectators can once again expect some exceptional tennis.
