New face for MAN

The Marketing Association of Namibia (MAN) officially launched its logo this morning at the Polytechnic Hotel School.  The purpose of the launch was toraiseawareness on the importance of customers and consumers in the Namibian economy.

Unveiling the logo,  Abius Akwaake, the Executive Director of Ad force PAG encourage all the marketers to use all the opportunities they have, to make a difference not only locally but as well as globally. “Marketing is seeing an opportunity and being able to tap into it better than other people”, added Akwaake.

Guest speakers at the launch included Sven Thieme, Executive Chairman of the Ohlthaver and List Group of Companies Amanda Blair. Thieme focussed his presentation on Corporate Social Responsibility depicting the trends as well as the practices embedded in it.

“The Corporate Social Responsibility should bring the planet and people together” stated Sven at the launch.

Blair on other hand spoke on marketing and relationship building across cultures at the launch. Jefta Gaoab who is the Marketing Officer of Namibia Institute of Pathology (NIP) gave a background of the Marketing Association of Namibia depicting its vision, mission and its aims. He also introduced the Interim Committee Members.

Rector of Polytechnic of Namibia (PON), Professor Tjama Tjivikua maintained the MAN the business sector will be able to share "marketing research that can be of value to businesses and government alike.”
