KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- Rubber tapper Abdullah Wahab, 63, from Raub, Pahang won a BMW 520i car by winning the top prize in Bank Simpanan Nasional's Premium Savings Certificate (SSP) draw for June.
A BSN statement said the SSP draw took place at Plaza Merdeka in Kuching, Sarawak on June 29, which also saw two individuals winning a Perodua Myvi 1.5 car and jewellery voucher worth RM5,000 respectively.
The SSP is a savings product that complies with syariah and based on the concept of mudaharabah or profit-sharing.
Meanwhile, Seraya Sulaiman who won in the Sarawak-level SSP draw, took home a Perodua Viva car.
Other prizes won in the monthly draw were five Modenas GT128 motorcycles, 10 Apple iphones and 100 SSP worth RM150 each.
The public can purchase the savings certificates for as low as RM10 at 398 BSN branches, 999 BSN ATM machines, 285 BSN cash deposit machines or through 4,425 banking agents throughout the country.
BSN also offers the special prize of RM1 million to the winner in the SSP premier draw to be held at the year-end. However, the draw is only for SSP holders with savings of least RM3,000 before the draw date.
