CYBERJAYA, July 10 (Bernama) -- Commerce Dot Com Sdn. Bhd. (CDC), the solutions provider of the Malaysian Government’s Electronic Procurement system 'ePerolehan’ continues to record a positive growth trend and outlook for the first half of 2013. Speaking at the CDC Directions Mid-Year Review 2013 at Cyberjaya, Chief Executive Officer, Muzafar Kamal Shahaluddin gave a positive outlook for the year ahead, saying the company has been a consistent outperformer for the past seven years and is confident to exceed its annual target revenue of RM125.3 million for the financial year ending 31 December 2013. He revealed that CDC has posted total revenue of RM53.94 million, a 20.3% increase against the mid-year target of RM44.8 million. CDC has set two Headline Key Performance Indicators (“KPI”) of revenue contributions comprising transaction via the ePerolehan system and Supplier Registration including value added services. On another note, the progress of the development of the new ePerolehan system known as NextGen ePerolehan continues to progress within the specified project timeline in which it has reached 20% from the total completion. Having established itself as the de-facto leader in Government electronic procurement (GeP) solution in Malaysia through the ePerolehan project, Muzafar unveiled CDC’s five year growth plan to turn the company as a global leader in GeP solutions provider. “CDC’s business momentum is expected to grow aggressively where revenue is targeted at RM300 million by year 2018.” Muzafar added. Apart from maximising its current revenue contributions, CDC will leverage on its strong domestic positioning and niched capabilities to expand its eProcurement solutions within the public sector organisations and other procurement categories. Given the strong interest by other developing countries towards the ePerolehan project, CDC is poised to expand into the international market through the potential engagements with other countries for the development and implementation of the GeP initiatives. Hence its future revenue streams will be largely generated from the domestic expansion and its foray into the international market for GeP solutions. Muzafar added that within the next two years, CDC will undertake all-round improvements in product, people, processes and tools. The event also saw that the mid-year operational and divisional KPI performances are well on track which demonstrated the determination of the company towards achieving its set goals and objectives.
