NTA receives tennis equipment from Germany

WINDHOEK, 06 SEP (NAMPA) – The Namibia Tennis Association (NTA) on Wednesday received a donation of tennis equipment from Barbara and Kai Schulke of the Andrenach Tennis Club (ATC) from Germany.
The donation includes sports clothing and tennis rackets collected from members of the Andernach Tennis Club (ATC) in Germany.
Andernach, a small town of 40 000 inhabitants located at River Rhine between Koblenz and Cologne, is known for its tennis tradition, and has produced an impressive number of top-ranking juniors.
The ATC has more than 600 members, and has one of the best junior training programmes in Germany. It was awarded with the prestigious “Green Badge” for the best junior sport development programme in tennis in 2013.
NTA development programme coordinator, Kallie Heese was quoted in a statement availed to Nampa on Thursday as saying it is the third time they receive equipment through the German-Namibian School Partnership programme.
