Call for entries for a Poster design competition

 

The National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST) is launching a competition to design the theme and poster for the National Science, Technology and Innovation Festival 2015.

 

Competition open to learners from:

·      grade 4 – 7 (Primary school phase)

·      grade 8 – 10 (Junior Secondary school phase)

 

Requirements to be incorporated into the poster:

·      The theme (top of poster)

·      The design

·      Your own understanding of the theme and design

·      Designer: your name and contact details

 

Prize:

 

The learner from the winning Primary school phase will be awarded a tablet and the winning learner from Junior Secondary school phase will be awarded a laptop. The schools of the winners will receive N$5 000.00 for scientific laboratory equipment.

 

Competition Rules:

 The theme should be related to the UNESCO International Year of Light

 The poster design should be related to the theme chosen

 The theme and poster design must be an original unpublished work which you have created

 Entry forms can be downloaded from the NCRST website at www.ncrst.na

 Electronic or scanned entry forms and poster designs maybe emailed to info@ncrst.na (in pdf format)

 The design should be A4 in dimension ad portrait not landscape orientation

 Only one entry can be submitted per learner

 Each learner will be notified once his/her entry has been received by the NCRST

 Once submitted, the design cannot be altered and re-sent

 The design, once submitted, shall become the property of the NCRST and due recognition of the designer and their

school will be accorded

 The closing date of the competition is Friday, 12 September 2014 at 17h00

 NCRST staff members, members of the Organising Committee and their family members may not take part in the competition
