Roads Authority wins OATF top award

ONGWEDIVA, 30 AUG (NAMPA) – The Roads Authority (RA) was declared the best overall exhibitor of the 2014 Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF).
This announcement was made officially during an award ceremony held here Thursday night.
The RA had a lively, attractive and interesting exhibition stall in the OATF’s Queen Hall where attentive RA staff members eagerly assisted visitors with information on the services rendered by the roads company.
The Roads Authority also scooped another award for being the best corporate company since the beginning of the trade fair last week Friday.
Arts and crafts exhibitor, Nakale Taleni was awarded a prize for being the best arts and crafts exhibitor at this year’s OATF. Taleni was also the best overall entrepreneur in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) section.
The award for the best media category went to the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), taking over from the ‘Namibian Sun newspaper’ who had won this award over the last three years.
Telecom Namibia was declared the best exhibitor in the information and communication technology (ICT) category.
Twenty-three exhibitors received recognition in their respective categories, such as best small-scale enterprise, best medium-scale enterprise, best exhibitor in the tourism and hospitality section, best exhibitor in the stationary and publishing section, best textile and clothing company and so following.
The nine-day 2014 OATF will wind up its activities on Saturday.
