PERU TO ATTEND TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP TALKS IN MALAYSIA

LIMA, July 9 (BERNAMA-NNN-ANDINA) -- Peru’s Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds (SBS) will participate in the 18th round of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations in Malaysia on July 15-25.

The SBS will attend the meetings of the negotiating group on finance services in Kota Kinabalu in eastern state of Sabah during the whole event period.

The gatherings will address topics on the provision of services offered by companies operating in monitored systems and issues related to investments in the country.

The SBS will provide technical support as supervisory body and regulator of the financial systems as well as insurance and private pensions.

The TPP is a regional free-trade agreement between countries in America, Asia and Oceania under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
