Khomas Nampol receives tracksuits from Moola Mobile

WINDHOEK, 14 AUG (NAMPA) – Moola Mobile on Thursday donated 120 tracksuits to the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Khomas regional sports team on Thursday ahead of the Force’s Annual National Sports Championships (ANSC).
The 20th edition of the ANSC police games will this year be hosted at Keetmanshoop in the //Karas Region from 19 to 29 August.
Speaking during the handing-over ceremony at the Windhoek police station, Moola Mobile’s marketing and sales officer Uejaa Kazondunge said the N.dollars 57 000 donation is the biggest the cellphone gaming company has made to date to an individual or organisation.
“We decided to sponsor tracksuits because we want the Namibian Police’s Khomas team to represent our region with pride, because as we all know police officers protect us,” Kazondunge beamed.
NamPol Chief Inspector Jooste Mbandeka said the team welcomes the sponsorship, and that it will motivate them.
“I believe a contribution of this magnitude will lift the players’ spirits,” stated Mbandeka.
About 800 police officers from all 14 regions are expected to partake in the games.
The Annual National Sports Championships serve as a platform for police officers to interact.
It is also used for the selection of players to represent the country at the Southern African Regional Police Chiefs’ Cooperation Organisation (SARPCCO) games, which are hosted every second year.
The national event will see teams competing in sports such as football, athletics, volleyball, netball, chess and pool.
