BANK WINDHOEK AND NAFINU SIGN RECOGNITION AGREEMENT

 

 

Bank Windhoek has signed a recognition agreement with NAFINU on 12 August 2014.

 

The Bank and its Management are committed to this partnership with NAFINU as representative of its members in the bargaining unit.

The Bank and its Management remain committed to promoting and servicing the interest of our employees and all other stakeholders. 

 

The recognition agreement is applicable to Bank Windhoek employees (non-managerial staff) as defined in the bargaining unit. The bargaining unit refers to all employees who are permanently employed by Bank Windhoek, irrespective of their job grades, but exclusive of the Bank’s management staff.

 

The recognition agreement with NAFINU covers the following aspects (scope of the agreement):

 

·       Bank Windhoek recognizes NAFINU as the sole collective bargaining agent/representative of its members in Bank Windhoek.

·       Bank Windhoek also recognizes that NAFINU is now entitled to negotiate on behalf of its members and employees in the bargaining unit on all matters relating to the terms and conditions of employment.  

·       NAFINU will also have access to the premises of the Bank and to its members and can communicate directly with its members via company facilities, as agreed upon between NAFINU and the Bank.

·       Shop Stewards will be elected per constituency to represent union members in the bargaining unit.

 

Following the signing of the recognition agreement, Bank Windhoek and NAFINU has entered into negotiations on the annual salary increases and benefits.
