MUMBAI, July 9 (Bernama) -- Shimla, a hill station in India, leads the list of Indian cities with the highest ranked hotels.
A recent survey by global hotel search portal Trivago found the Himalayan splendour received a 95.36 percent score from Indian and foreign visitors for its reputation.
Shimla was followed by Udaipur, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
Trivago has put together an online reputation index of hotels in the top 30 Indian cities, compiling data from hotel reviews on more than 180 booking websites.
The reputation index is based on the score a hotel gains in terms of services they provide.
State-wise, hotels in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Goa and Kerala have highly rated hotels.
City-wise hotels in Delhi and West Bengal capital Kolkata stood at 24th and 25th place respectively.
