DTS Kamikaze Inline Hockey Club Annual Tournament this weekend

This weekend sees the start of our DTS Kamikaze Inline Hockey Club annual tournament, to which all five clubs, Scorpions, Cazadores, Badgers, Coastal Pirates and the hosting club itself will be participating. Following the recent FIRS World Inline Championships in which four Namibian National teams partook, everyone is eager to get together and show off their newly learnt skills and confidence plus share their experiences with their fellow club competitors. Please visit us at the DTS sport grounds in Olympia to watch exciting inline hockey and support the clubs and their players. The official tournament starts as of Tuesday 5th to Thursday 7th August as of mid afternoon and then as of Friday 8 June the entire weekend.

With two tournaments behind us in the season, the statistics show some close placings in the annual league positions, and we are sure clubs have been working hard to close the gap and work towards changing these positions at this tournament, the third out of the five club tournaments a year. In the 8 and under category we have 3 clubs, Coastal Pirates, Cazadores, and Badgers up close, these little ones play their hearts out. In the 10 and under division we have Kamikaze in third place, and in the 12 and 14 under the Scorpions and the Kamikaze’s are close up behind Costal Pirates being the leaders of these divisions.  The Cazadores team take a good lead in the 16 division, while Badgers dominate the in the 18 and under. The young Scorpion ladies team are working hard at keeping their first place, while Badgers are a close second, in the master division this is the other way around. The Coastal Pirates Open team are strong in the lead, but let’s see what our Scorpions from Otjiwarongo have in to show us this weekend.

An exciting hockey competition ….. while enjoying a meal or coffee and cake in a sporting environment awaits your visit.
