According to Pahang Home Ministry Publication Control and Al-Quran Text Division director Azilah Madulan, the raid was held according to the Printing Presses and Publications Act (Amendment) 2012.
"From this number, 100 were Suara Keadilan and 26 others were Harakah.
"Inspection and the confiscation was done by seven personnel from 10am today at a kiosk in Taman Tas, Batu 3 Jalan Gambang, Jalan Besar and ended at a sundry shop in Indera Mahkota 2 here," she said when contacted by Bernama here today.
She said most traders were unaware that selling the tabloids to the public was an offence as it did not have a permit or approval from the ministry.
"However, we thank the traders for cooperating with us so that the operation can run smoothly. We've advised those involved not to sell any publications such as tabloids which do not have approval and permit from the Home Ministry," she added.
