BA Otjiwarongo supporters celebrate NPL victory

OTJIWARONGO, 06 JUL (NAMPA) – Black Africa Football Club (FC) supporters in Otjiwarongo marched through several streets here on Saturday, celebrating their club’s victory in the MTC/Namibia Premier League (NPL) on Wednesday.
The Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC)/NPL is the elite football league in the country, with 12 clubs from different regions participating. From next season onwards, the league will consist of 16 teams.
Black Africa won the 2013/14 league with 46 points, a fourth consecutive victory for the Katutura-based club.
African Stars ended second with 45 points, and Orlando Pirates third with 43 points.
Over 100 Black Africa supporters participated in the march, and later gathered at a house in the Orwetoveni residential area, where they entertained themselves with music, food and drinks.
The march took place under the watchful eye of the Otjiwarongo’s police traffic department.
