KUALA TERENGGANU, July 7 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu Police have confirmed that the body of a woman found yesterday at Km41.1 of the East Coast Expressway near Kampung Sungai Ular has no signs of having been raped.
State CID chief ACP K.Manoharan said based on the post-mortem, the unidentified woman had died of serious injuries to the head and chest by a blunt object.
He said detailed investigation on the discovery was ongoing and they did not reject the possibility that she may have died in an accident.
"Police did not find any sharp weapon when they found her and we are still investigating whether the victim was involved in an accident, hit and run or crime. This is because we only found her wearing an orange t-shirt and panties.
"However, hospital post-mortem reports confirmed no rape was involved despite the condition she was found in," he told reporters here today.
