POST-MORTEMS ON MURDERED WOMAN, TWO CHILDREN EXPECTED TOMORROW - POLICE

SIBU, July 7 (Bernama) -- The post-mortems on a housewife and her two children, who were found gassed to death at their home in Pulau Li Hua Housing Estate on Friday, are expected to be carried out at the Sibu Hospital tomorrow.

The bodies of Ling Yung Ming, 40, Christine Tiang Soon Ai, 14, and Victor Tiang Soon Sheng, two, were found in the masterbedroom of their double-storey detached house about 10am.

A close relative of the deceased, who works as a contracor, has been detained to facilitate investigations.

District police chief ACP Shafie Ismail said the case was solved with the arrest of the 43-year-old suspect at a Bintulu petrol station later that night.

He said the man had been remanded yesterday, for seven days to facilitate investigations.

"Although we are aware of the motive behind the killings, we cannot disclose it as investigations are underway.
