KELANTAN HUMBLE LIONS XII FC IN SUPER LEAGUE LAST ENCOUNTER

KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) -- FA Cup champions Kelantan humbled Super League 2013 winners Lions XII 2-0 in the closing encounter of the season at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, Kota Baharu, tonight.

Captain Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi put Kelantan ahead through a corner kick as early as the fifth minute while Dickson Nwakaeme increased the lead in the 58th minute.

Selangor maintained the second spot on the table despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Johor Darul Takzim (Johor DT) at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin.

Although, both teams were tied with 40 points, Selangor got the upper hand based on goal difference.

In the Johor Baharu encounter, Johor DT led through Leonel George Nunez in the 22nd minute before Selangor's Francis Forkey Foe equalised in the 51st minute through a free kick.

The result also enabled Selangor to accompany Kelantan as Malaysia's representatives to the Asian Football Confederation Cup next season.

Elsewhere, Perak beat Armed Forces 1-0 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi, Seremban; Pahang edged Selangor PKNS FC 5-4 at Shah Alam Stadium; T-Team played to a 2-2 draw with Terengganu at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu.

Despite beating Negeri Sembilan 2-1 at Nasional Stadium, Bukit Jalil, Felda United FC are relegated to the Premier League next season along with Negeri Sembilan as both teams finished at the bottom of the Super League table.
