KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) -- The police have denied rumours that seven women died at a private hospital in Ampang after receiving a package of perfume samples or poisoned lotion recently.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Amar Singh Ishar Singh said the matter was untrue after the police checked with the hospital concerned.

He said the hospital had been subjected to similar rumours two years ago.

Stern action will be taken against those who fabricated the rumours, he said in a Facebook post.
