WINDHOEK, 26 JUN (NAMPA) - The Moses van der Byl Primary School’s under-13 football team on Thursday received football kit from a company which wants to remain anonymous.
The under-13 team plays in the Khomas Schools’ Sports Region (KSSR), which falls under the Namibia Schools’ Sports Union (NSSU).
The school’s acting principal Johanna Asino said during the handing-over ceremony at the school situated in the Golgota residential area of the capital that she was happy to receive the generous donation.
“I am very grateful on behalf of the learners and the school to get these football kit. As you might know, it is very expensive for schools to buy such kit on their own,” she noted.
Asino added that all other companies in Namibia should follow suit - donating not just to their school, but others too.
The uniforms include jerseys, shorts and socks.
The value of the donation has not been made public by the sponsor.
