TWO MEN FOUND MURDERED IN OIL PALM ESTATE

HULU SELANGOR, July 6 (Bernama) -- The bodies of two men, believed to have been hacked and bludgeoned by their killers, were found at an oil palm plantation in Sri Keledang, Gedangsa here this evening.

The body of Muhamad Hafiz Omar, 28, was found in a shed off Jalan Baru, while that of Hamsi Hashim, 42, was found outside the shed about 4.30pm.

A passer-by who stumbled on the bodies while passing the shed alerted the police.

Hulu Selangor police deputy chief DSP Zulkifli Bidin said Muhamad Hafiz had sustained a slit throat and slash wounds while Hamsi was found bludgeoned.

He said initial investigations revealed the victims were caretakers of the plantation and an assortment of livestock.

He said the police had yet to estabilish the motive of the killings, adding that those with related information should contact the police to facilitate investigations.

Zulkifli said the bodies were sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
