DUNGUN, July 6 (Bernama) -- A total of 312 motorcyclists in the district today received the B2 licence, under the One Community One JPJ (SKSJ) programme.
Road Transport Department (JPJ) deputy director-general Datuk Yusoff Ayob said 54,641 motorcyclists aged 45 and above, had the licence nationwide.
The programme was carried out since 2009 to facilitate motorcyclists to get a licence without going through a JPJ test, he said when closing the programme.
He said the next programme in Terengganu would be held in Marang after Hari Raya.
Recipient Nasir Embong, 67, said he was excited because his dream to own a motorcycle licence had finally come true.
"I've always longed to own a motorcycle licence but I would have to take a computerised test and I don't know how to use a computer," he said.
Licences can be obtained for only RM150 under the SKSJ programme, which is much lower compared to the fee charged by private driving centres.
