Of the top gainers, Hong Leong Capital rose 46 sen to RM6.46, Puncak Niaga added 39 sen to RM2.78 and Eastland Equity increased 30.5 sen to 84 sen.

Among actives, Luster was flat at 10.5 sen, Eti Tech Corp added half-a-sen to 4.5 sen and Scomi Energy Services gained 20 sen at 79.5 sen.

For heavyweights, Maybank, CIMB and Sime Darby dropped 12 sen, two sen and four sen to end at RM10.38, RM8.27 and RM9.46, respectively.

Volume on the Main Market rose to 1.442 billion units valued at RM1.927 billion from 930.325 million units valued at RM1.538 billion on Thursday.

Turnover on the ACE market fell to 158.994 million shares worth RM26.823 million from 229.779 million shares worth RM37.779 million yesterday.

Warrants climbed to 24.888 million units valued at RM4.232 million from 14.704 million units valued at RM1.902 million previously.

Consumer products accounted for 44.058 million shares on the Main Market, industrial products 271.656 million, construction 96.479 million, trade and services 492.050 million, technology 120.143 million, infrastructure 45.620 million, SPAC 42.028 million, finance 100.103 million, hotels 640,900, properties 205.861 million, plantations 15.585 million, mining 1.223 million, REITs 6.897 million and closed/fund 140,340.
