South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) 2013/14 champions Mamelodi Sundowns arrived in Windhoek on Friday ahead of their clash with African Stars in the inaugural Dr Hage Geingob Cup on Sunday. Speaking to Nampa upon the team's arrival, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said they are in Namibia to honour the Prime Minister, adding that this is a game they will be taking very seriously. We have been well received and we are feeling at home right now, but come Sunday the players will be ready to compete as we are here to honour the Prime Minister and maybe we might also play against a Namibian team when we participate in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) champions league, said Mosimane. The coach added that he brought all his star players to compete in the game as they do not want to take anything for granted. I brought all the big name players, our top players who just won the league. I also heard we have supporters in Namibia we are now asking them to come to the stadium and see their stars in action, he stated.
