LIMA, July 5 (BERNAMA-NNN-ANDINA) -- Peru's government on Thursday expressed concern about the transition process in Egypt and called to avoid violence and seek a return to constitutionality through dialogue.

A statement from the Foreign Ministry said, Peru follows with concern the Egyptian crisis, which has led "to the dismissal of the democratically elected president, the breakdown of the democratic order and institutions."

Given this scenario, Peru makes a strong call to prevent all acts of violence and respect the rights and freedom of the people of that country in the Middle East, website Prensa Latina reported.

"The Government of Peru urges the Egyptian authorities to make every effort to establish a national dialogue with a view to the return of democratic order and the rule of law," the statement adds.
