WINDHOEK, 20 MAY (NAMPA) - South African singer, Andriëtte Norman will tour Namibia from Tuesday this week until 31 May in support of children living with cancer in Namibia.
A certain percentage of the show profits will go towards Children with Cancer in Namibia (Chica), said Leandra Grobler from the Cancer Association of Namibia in a media statement issued on Monday.
The ‘Hope’ roadshow will also create awareness about childhood cancer, she said.
The roadshow will end in Windhoek with the 'Hope' Festival on 31 May 2014 at the United Sports Grounds from 08h00 to 21h00.
The festival aims to be a fun-filled, quality family day, starting with a fun-awareness walk.
Norman, 26, and various local artists will perform during the festival, which will also include loads of interesting stalls and entertainment for children, said Grobler.
Norman sings in Afrikaans. She was the runner-up in the 2007 South African television singing competition 'Idols'.
Her debut album titled “Diamant” (Diamond) was launched in 2008, and in 2009 she launched “Dink Aan My” (Think of me), and “Vat My Hoër” (Take me higher) in 2011.
