KUALA LANGAT, July 4 (Bernama) - The unique 'samba' technique from Brazil helped Pahang win the men's beach football at Malaysia Games (Sukma) at Morib beach, Banting, today.

Pahang thrashed Terengganu 6-0 in the final while the bronze went to Selangor who beat Kedah 8-6 in the third place playoff.

The Pahang goals were scored by Mohammad Hashim Shamsuddin (2nd), Mohd Shafiq Riza Huzair (8,10,13), Amirul Asyraf Abu Talib (54,56).

Pahang coach Julio Cesar Franco said the Brazil strategy helped his team to win by blocking the attack from Terengganu.

"The other teams used familiar techniques and strategies but we have the advantage in terms of technique by using the Samba style," he told reporters here today.
