Mannetti happy with his technical team

WINDHOEK, 18 MAY (NAMPA) – The Brave Warriors' coach expressed gratitude to his technical team for preparing his players to beat Congo-Brazzaville 1-0 here on Saturday.
“I am very happy to win today, but credit should be given to the technical team which did all the work in preparing these players for today’s game. As a coach, all I did was just encourage the players,” said Ricardo Mannetti.
The only goal of the match was scored by Rudolf Bester in the 89th minute of the game at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
It was the first leg of the 2015 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Nations’ Cup qualifiers.
Mannetti said the win against Congo-Brazzaville does not mean they are going to ‘park the bus’ when they travel to Pointe-Noire, Congo-Brazzaville for the return leg on 01 June.
That match will decide which of the two teams will go through and meet either Libya or Rwanda in the next round of the CAF 2015 qualifiers.
“We now have a more difficult game in Congo, as they will play to overturn the score of tonight. Right now, I only have an hour to celebrate then turn my focus on preparation for the return leg,” said the coach.
He noted that a win at home was very important, and Bester’s experience paid off.
“At the moment I love Bester. He was calm, collected and showed his experience when he scored the goal,” said Mannetti.
Bester plays in the South African Premier League team Golden Arrows.
