The Minister of Education, Dr David Namwandi launched the Anti-
Corruption Commission (ACC) education manual for teachers today.

The manual in brief covers aspects such as harmful impact of

corruption on human development, the economy, essential public

service delivery, democracy, education and health.

Speaking at the launch, Namwandi said corruption is a global disease

and challenge. He said it affects the quality of education through ghost

marks and sex for marks.

“As it is correctly stated in the manual, corruption hampers economic

growth and development. It also widens the gap between the have and

have not’s. It also affects service delivery. But we cannot achieve this

without our teachers-our foot soldiers. This manual was specifically

compiled to guide our esteemed teachers, especially the life skills

teachers,” he said.
