Schrempp to visit Schlettwein

Prof. Dr. Jurgen Schrempp, Chairman of the Southern Africa Initiative of German Business (SAFRI), is scheduled to visit Minister of Trade and Industry, Calle Schlettwein today at 11h00.

The purpose of the meeting is to exchange ideas on how to increase business relations between Namibia and Germany.

SAFRI is a joint initiative of the German-African Business Association (AV), the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), and the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA).

SAFRI’s objectives are to intensify economic cooperation between Germany and the SADC region and promote trade and investment in both directions.

Chairman of SAFRI, Prof. Dr. Schrempp is a global business personality who continues to play an influential role in business world.

Prof. Dr. Schrempp was a member of the influential International Investment Council, an advisory body to former South African President Thabo Mbeki on economic matters. He is currently serving on the International and Advisory Council of His Excellency, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, the President of the Republic of Togo.
