ALOR SETAR, July 4 (Bernama) -- The Kedah government will promote the Kedah Darul Aman Cycling Package as its latest tourism product to attract more visitors to the state.

Religion, Indian and Siamese Community Affairs, Human Resources and Tourism Committee chairman Mohd Rawi Abd Hamid said there were 10 cycling tourism packages involving urban and rural areas, fields and nature trails.

Under the package created in cooperation with Tourism Malaysian and travel agencies, tourists can cycle their way to interesting locations in Kedah.

"This is our way of encouraging tourism by offering cycling packages to see all the places in Kedah.

"We've carried out the Saturday Nite Ride here which was well received, getting over 1,000 participants. These packages began a month ago and will be launched soon," he said at a news conference here.
