Livestock worth N.dollars 40 000 stolen at Keetmanshoop

WINDHOEK, 27 APR (NAMPA) – Forty goats valued at N.dollars 40 000 were stolen from a farm in the //Karas Region on Thursday.
The Head of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Public Relations Division, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi said at the weekly crime briefing in the capital on Sunday the suspect(s) allegedly stole the goats from Farm Garina at Keetmanshoop.
The goats have not yet been recovered and no arrests have been made.
Police investigations continue.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old Keetmanshoop man was arrested after stealing food from a shack in the Tseiblaagte area on Saturday morning.
Kanguatjivi said the suspect allegedly broke the padlock of the complainant’s shack and entered the shack where he stole macaroni and rice.
An 18-year-old was also arrested in connection with the alleged crime.
The suspects are expected to make their first appearance in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
