Man allegedly hangs himself in Kavango West

KAHENGE, 23 APR (NAMPA) - A 44-year-old man allegedly hanged himself on Tuesday at the Siko village, situated some 90 kilometres west of Rundu.
The deceased reportedly hanged himself with a piece of rope in his sleeping hut, and died on the spot in the Kavango West Region’s Kahenge Constituency.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Kavango Regional Crimes’ Investigations Co-ordinator, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told Nampa on Wednesday that the reason for the apparent suicide has not yet been established by the police, as no suicide note was left behind.
The deceased has been identified as Nangolo Mukuve, a resident of Siko village.
His next of kin have already been informed, and the police have opened an inquest docket into the matter.
