RDP raising funds for national elections next year

WINDHOEK, 11 JUL (NAMPA) ? The Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) says it is facing financial challenges, and is requesting funds in cash and pledges for the national elections next year.
RDP took this decision during its Central Committee meeting in Windhoek recently.
?The pledges range from cattle, machinery, and cash, and will be going to the recently established ?RDP Election Fund 2014? the party opened earlier this year,? read a media statement availed to Nampa here Thursday.
The party?s Secretary for Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Jeremiah Nambinga was quoted as saying the RDP leaders want to lead the way.
?Thus in doing so, we want to set an example that as much as we appeal for funds from our friends and supports, we are also doing something no matter how little it is,? Nambinga said.
Supporters are thus urged to contribute to the party through the ?RDP Election Fund 2014? account number: 62247828497 at First National Bank.
