Namene new ECB CEO

WINDHOEK, 31 MAR (NAMPA) - NamPower's General Manager for Trading, Foibe Namene is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Electricity Control Board.
Namene will replace outgoing Siseho Simasiku whose term of office as CEO ends on Monday this week.
Simasiku announced Namene’s appointment on Monday during a media conference here.
Simasiku had been at the helm of the ECB since 2000. He said he will be going into retirement.
Namene is expected to assume duty on 01 June this year.
In the meantime, Roger Manyame, the general manager for regulation at the ECB, will act as CEO as from Wednesday until 31 May this year.
