Mouton appointed as UAG's Chief Executive Officer

WINDHOEK, 31 MAR (NAMPA) - Willem Mouton has been appointed as Group Chief Executive Officer of the United Africa Group (UAG), effective from 01 April 2014.
UAG's Executive Director Haddis Tilahun announced this in a statement availed to Nampa on Monday.
The statement said Mouton possesses a sound understanding of the vision and strategies of UAG, having previously served as Operations’ Manager and Group Financial and Administration Manager between 2002 and 2010.
“He holds an accounting and finance qualification, in conjunction with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Stellenbosch,” the statement said, adding that Mouton brings with him strong financial and fund management skills.
The group has also appointed Brian Rubenstein as the chairperson of the Group’s Executive Committee, effective from 01 April this year.
Rubenstein will manage this responsibility from Johannesburg, South Africa.
“In pursuance of continued growth and expansion, the shareholders and directors of the company have effected certain changes to the management and structure,” the statement read.
The United Africa Group (Pty) Limited was founded in 1992 by Haddis Tilahun, who was later joined by Group chairperson Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun.
The group is involved in a broad spectrum of successful businesses covering manufacturing, trade, real estate, hospitality, energy production and services.
