Burned remains found in Khomasdal identified : NamPol

WINDHOEK, 23 JUN (NAMPA) ? The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) has positively identified the burned remains of a woman found in Windhoek's Khomasdal residential area on Saturday as that of Constance Wicomb.
Deceased Wicomb (age not mentioned) was reported as having gone missing from her home in Khomasdal on 13 June this year.
NamPol spokesperson, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi told a media briefing here on Sunday afternoon Wicomb?s burned remains were positively identified by her brother on Saturday.
According to Shikwambi, a post-mortem will now be conducted on the remains in order to establish the exact cause of her death.
Meanwhile, City Police spokesperson Helena Mootseng told Nampa on Saturday the remains, which were almost reduced to ashes, were discovered in the bushes in the vicinity of Tiptol and Visarend Streets by a passerby, who alerted the police.
Only the deceased?s skull and a pair of glasses were found with the ashes, she said.
