Brothers die after being stabbed

WINDHOEK, 02 MAR (NAMPA) - Two brothers who were stabbed by a known suspect at a bar in Tsintsabis in the Oshikoto Region, died on Saturday.
Sergeant Slogan Matheus of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)'s Public Relations Division told a media briefing here on Sunday afternoon the victims were walking into a bar on Saturday, while the suspect was walking out when the incident occurred.
“Without any provocation, the suspect took out a knife and stabbed both brothers,” he said.
The incident occurred at around 20h55, and the suspect fled the scene.
The names of the deceased could not be revealed as their next of kin were yet to be informed.
Matheus however stated that the suspect is well-known and NamPol is working hard on getting him arrested.
Meanwhile, the police in the //Karas Region are also investigating a case of murder in Keetmanshoop, where a 23-year-old suspect stabbed Innocent Uhuru in the neck during the early hours of Saturday.
The victim died upon his arrival at the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.
According to Matheus, the incident occurred at a club between 02h00 and 03h00.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
