New kits unveiled for Bidvest Cup round of 16 teams

WINDHOEK, 25 FEB (NAMPA) – Football kit for the teams which qualified for the round of 16 in the Bidvest Namibia Cup were officially unveiled in the capital on Tuesday.
The tournament’s round of 16 starts this Friday.
The involved teams are Black Africa Football Cub (FC); Bee Bob Brothers FC; African Stars FC; LHU Blue Waters FC; PC Blue Boys FC; Citizens FC; Kaizen Football Academy FC; Tura Magic FC; Rundu Chiefs FC; FNB Orlando Pirates FC; Ramblers FC; Tigers FC; Mountain Rangers FC; Tropical Heat FC; Blue Birds FC; and United Stars FC.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, Bidvest Namibia's Director of Commercial and Business Development Theo Mberirua said when Bidvest does something, they make sure that they do it properly.
“We at Bidvest Namibia are proud to be the sponsors of this soccer cup, and in order to enhance the experience for both players and supporters, we will provide give-aways such as branded hats and T-shirts,” he noted.
The teams which make it to the finals will also receive new kits.
The round of 16 starts with Kaizen Football Academy facing Ramblers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium at 17h00 on Friday, followed by Orlando Pirates going up against defending champions African Stars at 21h00 on the same day.
Mountain Rangers will face Rundu Chiefs at the Mariental Sports Stadium at 13h00 on Saturday; followed by Blue Waters versus Tigers at 15h00.
Citizens and Bee Bob Brothers will go up against each other at the same stadium at 17h00 on the same day.
In Gobabis at the Legare Stadium, Tura Magic will compete against Tropical Heat at 13h00, followed by United Stars versus PC Blue Boys at 15h00 and Blue Birds versus Black Africa at 17h00.
Also speaking at Tuesday’s event was the Namibia Football Association (NFA)’s Secretary-General Barry Rukoro, who thanked Bidvest Namibia for their contributions towards football in the country.
“Thank you for coming to the party and changing how things are done,” he beamed.
Rukoro also advised team managers to go out and motivate their players to do their best.
